The 4th Commonwealth/State/Territory Disability Agreement (CSTDA) is currently being negotitated. The National CSTDA Community Alliance has been formed to share information and to enable joint action by individuals with disability, families, supporters and organisations. NCID is a member of the CSTDA Alliance.

Harmonisation of Disability Parking Permit Schemes in Australia
The Australian Government is seeking community feedback about the proposed Australian Disability Parking Scheme. The scheme aims to provide a new permit that is recognised across Australia and improved rules around its use.The Australian Government announced $3 million in the 2009/10 Federal Budget to develop the scheme across Australia.
On 26 May 2009 the Parliamentary Secretary for Disability and Children’s Services, the Hon Bill Shorten MP, launched a discussion paper and announced that public consultations will take place about the scheme.
Submissions close 31 July 2009.
